Let's Play "Catch-Up"

Not too long after my last post, my precious grandmother, Maggie, passed away. After many years of Alzheimer's Disease our "Momma" made it to her heavenly home and she will always be missed! Never has one been cared for by such a wonderful man. My grandfather has cared for her over the past 11 years, ceasing all of his normal activity and finally giving in to bringing in a nurse or two for a couple hours a day. What an incredible love!!! Truly, "Daddy-Do" is the perfect picture of not just a Godly husband, but any husband!!

When Momma passed, I took a week to go to Indy to be with family for the services. Quickly following my return, my hubby and I and our 2 oldest packed up and headed to New Mexico for a church missions trip. (pictures will be posted soon....I promise, Stephanie!!) We helped out "Apache Creek Deaf and Youth Ranch" for a week; it was a great blessing! The weather, however.....that was interesting! The first couple of days--temps between 90 and 100; Wed--wind storm with gust 50-70 mph; Thurs--rain storm all day; Fri--woke up to 4 inches of snow, the power gone out and no water--WOW!!! So after some hiking and realizing we couldn't pack up in the dark to head to the airport at 3 a.m., we decided to "bite the bullet" and leave early only to spend the night in the airport! (we're CHEAP!!!! Ü) So 19 of us drove for 3 hrs to sleep on the floor and chairs in the Albequerque Airport! I have to say...not such a terrible experience. It's not everyday you get to know 18 other church people by sleeping in the airport! ha!! It was a great trip and now we're back at home with 11 people living in our home.

That's right...11!! okay, 7 are us but the rest are Jim's family. His brother and sis-n-law and niece and nephew have moved here from Kansas and are living in our basement. Yep....just another adventurous experience for the Zeik Clan! Ü Oh, and one more thing....
We squeezed in a 15 year anniversary celebration! I love you, honey!

Alright, now I'm waiting to see how long it takes you to remember how to add pictures :) Just call me before you punch the computer. It was so great to see you, can't wait till your next trip out to Indy...but don't call me until AFTER you've been to Wal-Mart!
